Winters almost over. Time for a road trip. Lee and Sharon Burton are planning a trip to Golden, CO to ride up Lookout Mountain on Sunday, April 22nd
The climb up Lookout mountain is similar to riding up Ute Pass but without the traffic. Nice scenery.
The ride will start in Morrison but finish in Golden, either at the base of Lookout Mountain or at the Golden High School.
Plan to leave Woodland Park around 10 a.m., we could carpool and can carry multiple bikes in our truck between a truck and bike rack in addition to two or three passengers. If there is more interest, additional capacity is available.
Sharon isn’t riding, but will be walking the track at the High School during the ride and will be available to pick up and drop off for anyone who is interested in the ride, but wants to do a shorter loop.

We’ve attached the map of this loop with elevation profile. The entire loop is 29 miles.
