Is there a course map for this event yet?

  2. mtcc says:

It is on the website, I will email it to you. This is the adult with the 5th mile being taped off. The 10 – 18 year olds will do one lap. We will do a shorter race for 6- 9 yr. olds. We do not have a map for that.

    Hi Diane,
On the top of our website page, you will see About, Experience and Map tabs. Under the Map tab, the first map you see is the Aspen Valley elevation. I believe you can download it. If you have trouble let me know and I will email it to you.

I have looked all over the website also and cannot find a map, nor anything about distances for the Aspen Valley race.

Hi, I checked out the website and the about, experience and map (gets blurry and hard to read when expanded) tabs. Could you please let me know total miles for the race for adults, and the total elevation gain? Also, I’m 51 and new to racing, therefore would typically be a Cat 5. Is there a category appropriate for my level in this race? Thanks in advance for your response to these questions.
    Tim

Hi, I will email you the elevation map for Aspen Valley. You will be Cat. 3, Mountain biking vs Road. Cat. 3 is for beginners in Mountain biking. We will have fat tire, and masters 55+ so you should do fine. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

If we want to ride the course before the race, which loops do we follow?
    Thanks
    Diane

Hi Diane, The map is on the website under maps. It is a 5.1 mile loop, most do 4 miles. The trails are open, to ride, you just need to sign the waiver at Aspen Valley Ranch and wear the green band while on the trail. It is all one loop.
